Accounting Assistant

Griffin Industries is looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team. Working in our front office, you’ll have the potential to learn from mentors, expand your accounting knowledge and grow both personally and professionally. Though our preferred candidate would have a minimum of one year experience, we are more focused on finding that candidate that best fits our company culture.

Job Type:Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday

No Mandatory Overtime

Match purchase orders with vendor invoices and enter into JobBOSS system.

Perform weekly vendor payments.

Record credit card transactions.

Create and distribute customer invoices.

Apply customer payments and follow-up with past due invoices.

Monthly reconciliation of A/R, A/P and Credit Cards.

Back-up other office areas and assist with phone answering, greeting visitors and other miscellaneous duties.

Assist controller with special projects and data analysis.

Experience and/or education in accounting or bookkeeping

High attention to detail and accuracy

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically excel

Able to meet deadlines

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desire and motivation to learn and grow in career
